An untimely burst water main has left a Cranbourne woman in a spot of bother.

Debra told 3AW Breakfast she was at home and halfway through dyeing her hair when she found herself without water.

‘My eyes were stinging,’ said Debra.

‘I grabbed a five litre watering can full of dust and spiders and whatever.’

She ran down the street trying to find water, only to discover a bob cat and tradies, in knee high mud.

‘A bloke grabbed the watering can, ran up the road around the corner, filled it with water then ran back!’

After finally washing it out, she says it’s the best hair colour she’s ever had because the dye stayed in longer.
