Crane bursts into fire, collapses on St Kilda Rd

Part of a crane has spectacularly burst into flames and collapsed on St Kilda Road.

The crane is at a multi-story development near Wesley College.

Traffic in the area is being diverted away from the scene, with fire crews trying to battle the blaze.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Amazingly, nobody has been injured.

A witness, Jen, told 3AW it was the ‘scariest thing I’ve ever seen’.
