Long-time friends, family, fans and premier Daniel Andrews have attended a public memorial to pay tribute to Australian golfer Jarrod Lyle who died last month after his battle with cancer.
Around 500 people turned out for the service at the Sands Golf Club in Torquay, to honour the well-loved golfer.
3AW reporter Denis O’Kane attended the service and crossed to Nick McCallum.
He said the service heard from one of his daughters, and an aunt.
“It’s a beautiful day, in the true Jarrod Lyle style, ties were banned, and where possible wearing yellow,” he said.
“Robert Allenby spoke, very emotional.”
