A near-capacity crowd will be welcomed back at Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight this Christmas eve, with around 10,000 tickets to go on sale for fully vaccinated revellers at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on November 17.

It comes after Mary called into the 3AW Drive show with a Word on The Street three weeks ago, where she said a call out for the Carols by Candlelight choir has been emailed to past choir members.

That was confirmed today by Vision Australia CEO Ron Hooton.

“We’ve been given early indications by state government of a crowd of 90 per cent, and capacity’s about 10,000 at the [Sidney Myer Music] bowl,” he told Tom Elliott on 3AW Drive.

“It’s looking good for a decent crowd that’s for sure.”
