‘Cruel attack’: Victoria Police memorial vandalised overnight

The Victoria Police memorial has been substantially vandalised, with red paint splashed over the Victoria Police logo and the phrases “good cop = dead cop” and “death to Australia” sprayed onto the walls.

3AW police reporter Madelaine Burke provided the full details on 3AW Breakfast. 

“This really is a cruel attack and it will be distressing for the members of our force,” Burke told Ross and Russ.

Secretary of the Police Association Victoria, Wayne Gatt, then called out the “stupid action” from the vandals.

“They’re are stain on the fabric of our society,” Mr Gatt told Tom Elliott.
