Curnow will be counselled after arrest – but not docked pay
Draft hopeful Charlie Curnow may have cost himself a few spots in the draft after being arrested in Geelong.
Curnow, brother of Carlton’s Ed, was arrested for allegedly being drunk in a public place and refusing to undergo a breath test.
He will almost certainly still be drafted.
Former list manager Chris Pelchen doesn’t think the indiscretion will cost him when it comes to signing for an AFL club.
‘He’ll certainly be counselled by the club that selects him, but I don’t think there’ll be anything in his contract,’ Pelchen told Sports Today on Friday.
