Cyclist left seriously injured in a Geelong drain after hit-run collision
A cyclist has been left seriously injured in a drain after being hit by a car in Geelong.
Police have been told a white 4WD with a toolbox on the back collided with the bike near the corner of Emmerson and Lovely Banks roads in Lovely Banks at about 9am on Tuesday.
The cyclist was flung into a drain on the side of the road.
The vehicle failed to stop at the scene and was last seen travelling east on Lovely Banks Road.
The cyclist — a 33-year-old man — was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
