Damien Oliver labels attack on chief steward Terry Bailey as ‘awful’
Champion jockey Damien Oliver has described this week’s attack on chief steward Terry Bailey as awful.
Investigations continue into Sunday night’s shooting at Bailey’s home.
Oliver, one of the sport’s biggest names, said the incident had rocked the racing world.
‘It’s awful,’ Oliver told 3AW.
‘Nobody deserves that.
‘Terry’s credentials and credibility are second to none.
‘He’s a guy who is just trying to do his job.
‘Nobody deserves to have their family put through that when they’re at home, that’s for sure.’
