The Minister for Defence remains tight-lipped regarding an investigation surrounding allegations of bullying and harassment which led to the attempted suicide of a member on deployment in Afghanistan.

Dan Tehan told Tom Elliott the matter, revealed on 3AW Drive, was being taken ‘incredibly seriously.’

‘I’m just not going to go into the details,’ he said on 3AW Drive.

Mr Tehan promised an ‘extensive and thorough’ investigation and said bullying was unacceptable.

‘We’ve got to do everything we can to stamp out bullying in the workplace,’ he said.
