Dandenong train station evacuated, bomb squad attends

Trains are again running through Dandenong station after an exclusion zone was declared after a police incident this morning.

A man was arrested and the bomb squad was called to the scene.

Commuters were evacuated from the station.

Witnesses reported seeing several police cars swarm on the station shortly after 10am.

‘It’s a complete shutdown ? there are police everywhere,’ 3AW Mornings caller Kathy told Neil Mitchell.

There are no reports of injuries.

The bomb response unit has spent recent hours conducting a safety check.
