Dane Swan takes swipe at AFL over player wages
Recently retired Collingwood champion Dane Swan has taken a swipe at the AFL over player wages.
The Brownlow medallist is angry his peers are paid less than the league boss.
It comes after Gillon McLachlan met with the players union on Monday to discuss wages.
Speaking on Channel 10, Swan said he would have taken strike action this season.
‘They all make too much money, all the bloody top dogs in the game,’ he said.
‘How a player isn’t making the most money in the AFL is beyond me.’
