The Premier Daniel Andrews has announced his new look cabinet, with 50 per cent women.

It comes after former ministers John Eren and Natalie Hutchins announced, after the election, they would be stepping down from cabinet.

Minister for Trade, Innovation and Investment Philip Dalidakis has also been removed from the ministry.

The new leadership includes: Andrews, Deputy Premier James Merlino, Gavin Jennings and Jaclyn Symes (new addition).

The ministry includes: Adem Somyurek (new addition), Ben Carroll, Gabrielle Williams (new addition), Gayle Tierney, Jaala Pulford, Jacinta Allan, Jenny Mikakos, Jill Hennessy, Lily D’Ambrosio, Lisa Neville, Luke Donnellan, Marlene Kairouz, Martin Foley, Martin Pakula, Melissa Horne (first time MP), Richard Wynne, Robin Scott and Tim Pallas.

Portfolios are yet to be confirmed.

3AW state politics reporter Alicia Bryne said the numbers are now at 11 men and 11 women.
