Daniel Andrews ‘determined’ to learn from June’s prison riot

The Premier is determined to ensure no repeats of June’s prison riot.
A report into the riot was released on Monday, making 17 recommendations as to how to prevent similar events.
Daniel Andrews told Nick McCallum his government wasn’t responsible for the riot, but is responsible for adopting the report’s recommendations to ensure history doesn’t repeat.
‘We need to learn from it and make sure some of the failures never, ever happen again,’ Mr Andrews said.
Mr Andrews said many of the recommendations were ‘just common sense.’
