Daniel Wells leaves North Melbourne
Daniel Wells will be playing at another club next season.
North Melbourne confirmed on Monday morning the former No.2 draft pick would be leaving as a free agent.
The 31-year-old played 243 games over 14 seasons with the Kangaroos.
He is expected to join Collingwood.
‘We’re obviously disappointed to be losing someone of Daniel’s calibre but we respect his decision,’ North GM Football Cameron Joyce said.
‘Daniel has been an outstanding player and person and we wish him all the best.
‘We have benefited from Free Agency over the past few seasons and fully respect the system.’
North had tabled a two-year deal for the midfielder.
