Daniel Wells to make his Collingwood debut on Anzac Day
Veteran Collingwood recruit Daniel Wells will make his Magpie debut on the biggest stage of the home-and-away season.
Wells has been named on the wing for Tuesday’s Anzac Day clash against Essendon.
Jesse White has been dropped, with Mason Cox to take his spot in a Collingwood forward line that has struggled to capitalise on its opportunities this season.
Tom Phillips also comes into the team, with Jarryd Blair and defender Josh Smith also omitted.
Essendon rookie Ben McNiece will make his debut in front of a packed MCG, coming into the side alongside Aaron Francis.
Kyle Langford (omitted) and Conor McKenna (suspension) are out.
FOUR DEES AXED FOR STARS
Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin has lost patience, dropping four Demons for Monday night’s match against Richmond.
Tomas Bugg, Mitch Hannan, Dean Kent and Sam Weideman have all been omitted, with ex-Bomber Michael Hibberd coming in for his Demon debut.
Jesse Hogan, Jay Kennedy-Harris and Timothy Smith also come into the side.
Oleg Markov comes into the side for Nick Vlaustin (concussion).
