Darcy Moore on re-signing with the Pies until the end of 2028

Darcy Moore joined the 3AW Football team to discuss his six-year contract extension deal in his first interview since news of his re-signing.

Caroline Wilson asked Moore about the skepticism about long-term deals and if it was the club or himself who pushed for it.

“It was a bit of a mixture … we were pretty aligned and it was a really smooth and easy process,” he said.

“If a club needs to offer a long term deal to keep certain players or players who are willing to commit, I think it is a good thing for the game and the fans love the loyalty and they don’t have to deal with the heartbreak of watching their favourite players wear another jumper.”
