Daring thieves use stolen bulldozer to steal Whittlesea ATM
An ATM has been stolen in a daring ram raid at Whittlesea this morning.
A bulldozer was stolen from a sawmill in Plenty Road shortly before 3am.
That bulldozer was then used to smash down the wall of a United service station next door.
Detective Sergeant Arian Brilliant says the thief then turned his attention to the ATM.
‘A second offender in a white single cab tray truck has then attended on the apron of the service station, where the first offender loaded the ATM onto the tray,’ he said.
‘Both offenders left the scene with the ATM.’
There’s significant damage to the service station, with one wall completely demolished.
