A dash-cam has captured a shocking smash involving a car and two motorbikes at Maribyrnong.

Ambulance Victoria has confirmed it attended the scene.

The two bike riders were taken to the Royal Melbourne hospital in stable conditions.

Kate witnessed the crash, telling Ross and John she initially feared the worst.

‘I was just waiting for them to move, basically,’ she said on 3AW Breakfast.

Meanwhile, Victoria’s peak motorcycling group hopes the confronting and dramatic footage can help spread the road safety message.

John Eacott, president of the Victorian Motorcycle Council, told Neil Mitchell the video was powerful.

‘I hope it can be used to emphasise to all road users to look out for each other,’ he said.
