David, Denis and Dodd discuss the new show Dream Lover – The Bobby Darin Musical

Growing up as the son of music legend Bobby Darin and America’s sweetheart Sandra Dee, Dodd Darin says he didn’t realise it was anything special.
He lost his father almost 44 years but the legacy of Bobby Darin lives on.
“He was a great dad, hands on, larger than life, many memories,” he told Denis Walter.
Dodd’s in town to promote Dream Lover – The Bobby Darin Musical, a new stage production he’s been involved to pay homage to his father’s incredible talent and career.
The show is inspired by his book, Dream Lovers: The Magnificent Shattered Lives of Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee.
Presenter and performer David Campbell is taking on the role as Bobby Darin and says the musical is a real spectacle.
“Everything seemed to come easy to Bobby, even though we know and we’ll see in the show too he worked extremely hard
“I had to get my dancing shoes on – he had a very distinct style.”
Melbourne’s summer musical Dream Lover – The Bobby Darin Musical will be on at the Arts Centre Melbourne from December 27 for a strictly limited season.
