Dean Jones caught-up in suicide bomb attack

Former cricketer Dean Jones has been caught-up in a deadly suicide bombing outside a cricket match he was commentating in Afghanistan.

A police officer and two civilians were killed in the Kabul blast, with several others injured.

The Macquarie Cricket analyst told Neil Mitchell he saw the blast go off and was almost shaken out of his seat.

“I threw my microphone into the window, grabbed my bag and was ready to run and get out of there,” Jones said.
