Deano sticks up for Michael Clarke

Former Australia Test captain Michael Clarke has caused a stir over the past fortnight, after opening up on the relationship he had with his former teammates.

Simon Katich and Shane Watson were two players that Clarke spoke about in not so glowing terms.

Clarke has since come under fire for airing his dirty laundry in public, however Macquarie Radio Cricket Expert Dean Jones stuck up for the former captain.

‘He got the team when they were number 5 in the world, he got them to number 1 within 18 months,’ Jones told Sports Today.

‘He’s not there to be liked, he’s there to get a job done.’
