‘Death by a thousand cuts’: The dire impact CBD protests are having on businesses
The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has described the weekly CBD protests as a “death by a thousand cuts”, as CBD vacancy rates soar to a near 30-year high.
The latest report from the Property Council of Australia shows 19 per cent of offices in the city are now vacant, compared to 17.9 per cent in July last year, and it comes as the Allan government prepares to legislate the right to work from home.
Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry CEO, Sally Curtain, told Jacqui Felgate that protests are killing the city.
