Tom Elliott has long lamented local councils thinking and acting beyond their scope.

Tom would prefer they stick to their traditional roles, taking care of ‘roads, rates, and rubbish.’

‘Ratepayers – and I include businesses in that – expect strategic leadership,’ Ms Warne said on 3AW Drive.

‘Disruptive technology has created a global space where regions are being caused to look further afield than their own backyard.’
