Decision to play ‘Two Tribes’ at MCG on Anzac Day called into question

Sportsday

?

The decision to play ‘two tribes go to war’ over the loudspeakers at half-time on Anzac Day has been called into question.

The Frankie Goes To Hollywood song echoed around the stadium as players walked back onto the ground for the start of the second half.

And it didn’t go unnoticed by the 3AW Football team.

Dwayne Russell said it was a ‘strange’ decision.

‘I think you could have probably been a little more respectful than that,’ he said.

Bruce Eva said it ‘didn’t sit comfortably’ with him.
