Dee Dee discovers 170-year-old mystery message
3AW’s Dee Dee Dunleavy has discovered some handwriting scrawled across an original piece of timber in her home but can’t decipher the message.
She posted a photo to her Facebook page over the weekend with the following caption:
“Help! This piece of timber is inside an air vent in the original part of our house, that was built any time from 1843-1853. Can you see the handwriting? What do you think it says? We don’t know what it says. We have an idea, but we don’t want to influence anybody’s interpretation.”
Dee Dee told Tony Jones she discovered the writing while renovating her house.
“Please help, if anyone loves a good mystery!” She said.
“What we’re really after is a date.”
