Dee Dee Dunleavy responds to Western Australia’s new tourism campaign

dee dee dunleavy

Dee Dee Dunleavy says Western Australia has “lost all sense of reality” after she saw the state’s latest tourism campaign.

WA is going to promote itself as “the safest place on earth” as it prepares to finally re-open its borders to the rest of Australian and then the world.

“They’ve got rocks in their head, they really have,” Dee Dee said on Thursday.

“It’s the most difficult place on earth to get into, if you want to get in there.

“I don’t imagine people who have been locked out of seeing their relatives and friends in Western Australia are thinking it’s all rainbows and sugar in Western Australia.”

The WA vaccination rate remains below the national average, meaning it will still be some time until 90 per cent of the state’s population aged over 12 is vaccinated.

“And, once they do open the borders, how are they going to be able to claim they’re any safer than anywhere else?” Dee Dee said.
