Delays of up to three hours at hospitals
There were delays of almost three hours for ambulance patients at several public hospitals on Wednesday night.
3AW Mornings was alerted to the news on Thursday.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed the delays.
“Most major hospitals in Melbourne were busy yesterday, which affected the transfer of patients,” Ambulance Victoria told Neil Mitchell.
“The number of emergency call outs for ambulances was steady, and not unusual for a Wednesday.”
Dandenong, Footscray, Sunshine and the Northern hospitals were all impacted.
