Denis Walter meets puppet designer Joe Blanck

Joe Blanck is the puppet master.

The puppet designer has worked on Walking with Dinosaurs and King Kong.

His latest venture is The Sleeping Beauty by the Victorian Opera.

They’re using 27 life-sized puppets to tell the story.

Mr Blanck said it took a few months to make 27 huge puppets.

He also told Denis Walter about his time working on King Kong

‘I spent six months in the concept art department just drawing monkeys over and over in different styles and different ways to create this monster of a puppet,’ he said.
