Deputy opposition leader launches legal action over controversial reporting

Deputy state opposition leader Sam Groth has launched legal action against the Herald Sun over reporting about the start of his relationship with wife Brittany.

Heidi Murphy says legal proceedings were filed in the Federal Court on Friday afternoon against the newspaper, the editor and reporter who penned the piece.

“This reporting led to a lot of pain for the Groth family,” she said on 3AW.
