Desperate family releases CCTV in hunt for tool thieves

A Cranbourne North tradie has lost his tools and had to cancel jobs after heartless thieves stole thousands of dollars of equipment.

The desperate and frustrated family has released footage of the incident from 3.57am this morning in a bid to find the culprits.

CCTV shows at least two people pull up their car beside the tradesman’s van.

One person gets out, inspects the van, retrieves a brick and smashes into the back windscreen.

They made off with about $3000 of equipment, including three nails guns, a drill and a saw.

Victim Kim told Tom Elliott police have not been as helpful as she expected.
