Desperate search for missing man, Derek

Police are appealing for public help finding missing man, Derek.

The 75-year-old was last seen leaving a home in Ollerton Avenue at Newborough on Wednesday, March 2, about 11am.

It is believed Derek left the property to go for a walk along the rail trail at Moe.

Police and family are concerned for Derek’s welfare due to his age and as he has Alzheimer’s disease.

An extensive search by police and the State Emergency Service has failed to find him.

Police said it was out of character for Derek to go missing.
