Dingley Village locals’ six-hour vigil to save stuck kittens

Rumour File confirmed
Four kittens have been rescued from a drain in Melbourne’s south-east.
The four furry felines were trapped in a storm drain at a car park on Boundary Road, Dingley.
Local Dingley Village residents were alerted to the trapped kittens through the Dingley Community Facebook page on Saturday morning.
This led to a six-hour group rescue effort.
The CFA were called about 2pm, but they unfortunately couldn’t remove the drain cover to retrieve them.
Locals stayed by the drain until 6.30pm that night trying to coax the frightened felines out with treats and toys.
And they had a win!
All four kittens are now safe and well.
Their mother was sadly nowhere to be found.
