Trail bike riders are wreaking havoc on suburban streets, bike tracks and bushland in Melbourne’s west.

3AW listener Bec told 3AW Mornings riders tried to grab her and was once assaulted and knocked over by riders in the Werribee area.

‘I was running again on the same track last night and two riders tried to grab me and pull me onto the bike.

‘They were laughing, but didn’t get me. I moved out of the way at the last second,’ she told Neil.

3AW listener Chris told Neil Mitchell he has contacted Melton police about the same issue in his area, but they told Chris nothing can be done.

Local member for Melton Don Nardella says he is aware of the problem.

3AW producer Michael Hilder made contact with the embattled MP who says he too is frustrated with the dirt bike hooligans.

He says these trail bike riders are a big problem in the area and his office has contacted police.

Nardella says some of these riders have already had their bikes crushed.

After speaking with him about the dirt bike problems, Michael Hilder attempted to ask Nardlella questions in relation to his role in parliament…

He had ‘no comment’.
