Man left in ‘vulnerable position’ after burglars steal his disability vehicle
A man who suffers from muscular dystrophy and is confined to an electric wheelchair has been left in a “vulnerable position” after his vehicle was stolen in an aggravated burglary at his Mount Eliza home.
Victim Greg has had his vehicle modified for his disability, a process which he says takes 18 to 24 months, leaving him “very frustrated” following the burglary.
“It’s paramount to maintain my independence,” Greg told Tony Jones.

The thieves broke into his home on Warana Way at about 3pm on Tuesday, December 12 and stole two cars, a grey Hyundai i20 and a black 2021 Kia Carnival wagon.
The Hyundai was later found dumped in Mornington later that afternoon, but the Kia which is the modified vehicle, remains at large.
Neither Greg or his wife were injured during the burglary.
