The rogue prospector dug 13 holes in Jubilee Oval on Tuesday night, and it’s not the first time something like this has happened. In 2021, 40 holes were dug in the town’s main oval Princes Park.
A license from Earth Resources Victoria is required for gold prospecting, and it’s not permitted on council land.
Central Goldfields Shire Council has taken aim at the “disappointing” act on social media.
