‘Disgraceful’: Shane McInnes slams AI deepfakes made of female teachers

Shane McInnes has called for the rights of teachers to be taken more seriously, as female teachers are being targeted in “disgraceful” acts. 

Female teachers around Australia are being harassed by male students, with many using AI technology to create deepfake nude images of them and sharing them online.

The 3AW Afternoons host called for all students found guilty of these acts to be immediately expelled, and for excuses to not be made. 

“Doing the wrong thing is maybe skipping a day of school … creating images of a teacher that are of a sexually explicit nature … I don’t buy that,” he said on 3AW.
