‘Disgraceful’: Yarra Valley Grammar School Principal defends decision to expel students

Yarra Valley Grammar School principal, Dr Mark Merry, has denied a petition had any impact on the decision to expel two students.

He says expulsion is the last decision a principal would take, but defended the decision, calling the actions of the four year 11 students, disgraceful.

“You’ve got to think of the other students and the victims concerned, and it would be untenable, in my view, for students to continue after this sort of thing happened,” he told Tom Elliott.
