Disney has quietly removed four of its most popular movies from children’s profiles on its streaming service.

Dumbo, Swiss Family Robinson, The Aristocats and Peter Pan have all been banned from Disney+ because of what it calls “troubling stereotypes”.

The films previously had content warnings for “negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people and cultures”.

The films are still accessible on adult Disney+ accounts.

“Kids get their first impressions of how people are supposed to act from these cartoons when they watch very early on,” Dr Michael Carr-Gregg said on 3AW Mornings.
