‘Disturbing’: Police ‘strongly condemn’ alleged act following Australia Day protests

Victoria Police have confirmed they are investigating ‘a handful’ of incidents following protest activity in the CBD on Monday.

Senior Constable Paul Hogan told 3AW Breakfast, “Perhaps the most disturbing of the three that I’m sharing this morning, we’re informed a male and a female were packing up their car before being racially abused by four men.”

“The offenders chased the victim’s car before smashing their back window with what was believed to be a stolen, broken boom gate,” He added.
