‘Do ratepayers really care?’: Councillors boycott their own council meeting

Five Whittlesea councillors boycotted their own council meeting last night in protest against their CEO, former police chief Simon Overland.

Mr Overland has been implicated in the Lawyer X controversy, which will be probed by a Royal Commission.

Ross: Do you think the ratepayers of Whittlesea really care about what  Mr Overland did a few years ago in trying to catch crooks?

Burnso: It’s absolutely irrelevant.
