Doc Larkins has bad news for Hawthorn and St Kilda
Hawthorn could be without rebounding backman Grant Birchall for two months.
Doc Larkins told 3AW Football there’s a ‘high likelihood’ Birchall will need surgery for a jaw injury sustained in Saturday’s loss to Adelaide.
‘That’s generally in the four to eight-week category,’ Dr Larkins said.
St Kilda star Jack Steven suffered a punctured lung against West Coast, an injury which could see him miss a month.
‘After that incident, it’s not unusual for players to miss three or four weeks,’ Dr Larkins said.
