Docklands traders to take state government to court over Central Pier closure
The Victorian government could be staring down the barrel of a $42m payout as a group of traders at the closed Central Pier in Docklands prepare to go to court.
They are seeking millions of damages, with the Pier remaining permanently closed since 2020 due to severe structural damage.
“This is going to court on Monday,” Channel 9 reporter and 3AW presenter Heidi Murphy told Tom Elliott.
