Doncaster man busted travelling 197 kilometers an hour on the Eastern Freeway

A Doncaster man caught speeding at 196km/h on the Eastern Freeway this morning has recorded a blood alcohol reading more than two and a half times the legal limit.

The man has had his Toyota impounded is expected to be charged with reckless conduct endangering serious injury.

The intercept was part of Operation Arid.

Assistant Commissioner Doug Fryer says the road safety blitz will continue until midnight and drivers must drive to the conditions.
