Donna Demaio catches up with Kurt Russell

Kurt Russell (Tango and Cash, Overboard, The Thing)  leads a stellar cast in the latest Quentin Tarantino epic The Hateful Eight.

The 64 year old plays John ‘The Hangman’ Ruth in the western/mystery/drama which also stars Samuel L Jackson.

Entertainment reporter Donna Demaio spoke to Russell about his first brush with fame (which involved kicking Elvis in the shins), and debated whether his latest film is too violent.

Russell also canvassed why he believes Americans have the right to bear arms.

The Hateful Eight opens across Australia Thursday 21st January.
