Protesters have marched from Brunswick Town Hall down Sydney Road ahead of the Israeli president’s visit to Melbourne.
Activists are demanding the NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon resign after the violent scenes in Sydney, and the arrest of president Isaac Herzog.
Organiser Jasmine Duff is making no apologies for the disruptions, and went back-and-forth with Jacqui Felgate after protests turned violent yesterday.

Greens senator David Shoebridge was sent some footage of the protests in Sydney yesterday, which went viral, and said the police presence was heavy-handed.
“I don’t there’s any question that it was police brutality,” Mr Shoebridge told Felgate.
