‘Don’t you dare’: Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria CEO slams Premier’s funding claims

CEO of Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria, Adam Barnett, has slammed Premier Jacinta Allan over her recent comments on CFA funding.

Mr Barnett went through figures from 2019 to now on government grants to the CFA going down year on year.

“Don’t you dare tell us that CFA is properly funded,” he said on 3AW Mornings about the Premier.

“You get these year on year declines, and then magically in an election year, you see this little sprinkle of extra funding to try and pull the wool over everyone’s eyes.”
