Doug Fryer calls on parents to speak with their kids about road safety

The Assistant Commissioner for Road Policing is pleading with parents to have a conversation with their children about safe driving practices.

Doug Fryer has told 3AW Mornings last night’s fatal accident involving a carload of teens was a recipe for disaster.

‘They’ve had some real challenges with this one, we’ve got five kids… There’s inexperience, we know we’ve got some speed there and they’ve come round the corner and come to grief.’

‘We hope we don’t lose any more in this, a number of them were not wearing seatbelts.’ he tells Neil Mitchell.
