Dozens dead as Brussels is rocked by attacks on airport and metro train station

MML

At least 30 people are dead and more than 100 injured by a series of blasts that have rocked the Belgian capital of Brussels.

Two explosions, including one from a suicide bomber, struck the main airport in Brussels.

A third explosion hit the metro train station.

Police have uncovered an unexploded suicide vest at the airport and have released footage of a man suspected of being involved.

Islamic State is claiming responsibility for the attack.

Hundreds of people fled the Zaventem airport terminal as windows shattered and smoke poured out of the building following two loud bangs.

The airport was evacuated and shutdown, as was much of the train system.
