Dr Peter Larkins ‘quite upset’ at reports he ‘slammed’ Sydney for playing Lance Franklin
Dr Peter Larkins says he was upset by ‘ridiculous’ reports suggesting he’d ‘slammed’ Sydney for playing Lance Franklin the day after he suffered a seizure.
Larkins said it was an ‘extraordinary effort’ for Franklin to play last Saturday, but categorically denied questioning the Swans medical staff.
He said it was meant as compliment, if anything.
‘I hate saying it’s a media beat-up, but it’s a media beat-up,’ he said.
The Doc revealed he’d since received a phone call from Sydney chairman Andrew Pridham about the incident.
