Drama on the Western Ring Road, as car driving the wrong way crashes into another before driver flees

A man has been arrested after a dramatic crash on the Ring Road.

Witnesses have reported seeing a car driving down the wrong side of the road after entering via an off-ramp at high speed.

That car then collided with another at Derrimut.

3AW caller Danny said the driver then got out of the vehicle and tried to flee on foot.

‘The guy was running up the road and they (police) drew their guns and basically told him to get on the ground,’ he said.
